I say that you keep on keeping on and if anyone brings it up or you hear whispers on the grapevine, just state what you said here (That your design was posted first) & leave it at that. It's pretty obvious from the evidence that you couldn't have ripped off the other designer. I'm sure anyone who knows you & your work will know to dismiss any rumours they may or may not hear as bullshit.
